We have become a nation consisted mostly of sedentary workers. Because of that, exercising should be a must for most of us, but unfortunately people take less and less exercise which eventually can lead to severe health issues.
It is a known fact with the hectic timetable, most of us do not have enough time and as well as condition for exercising, however there is one simple form which anyone can do and also highly effective, walking.
Walking and only for 15 minutes a day can offer us longer life. Many studies have confirmed this fact, like the studies in the University Hospital of Dijon, the University Hospital of Saint-Etienne, the University of Lyon, the Regional Center for Cancer Prevention and Jean Monnet University in France.
This study was released in the peer-reviewed British Journal of Sports Medicine. In this study participated individuals with an age of 60 and over who performed 15 minutes of exercise every day and they managed to lower their risk of dying early by 22%, which was contrary to the individuals who did not exercise at all. This study concludes: a 15-minute daily walk “it will help you live longer”.
It was widely released in the media as well. Because of that doctors strongly advise at least 150 minutes of moderate physical activity per week.
