Best Way to Take Turmeric

Turmeric is a traditional spice used for centuries because of its numerous health benefits; it is also referred as to “the golden milk”.  The golden milk is highly beneficial for the spine as it has the ability to eliminate salt deposits there by restoring “spinal lubricants.” This warm milk is good for the nervous system, haematopoiesis, bones and colon.

Furthermore, it regulates digestion and improves liver function. It can make you younger, detoxify your body and enhance skin complexion.

Golden milk can improve joint ability therefore it is extremely effective in treating arthritis and arthrosis.

How to prepare this golden milk?

  1. First you prepare a turmeric paste.

Needed Ingredients:

  • ½ -3/4 cup[ water
  • 8 tsp turmeric powder

Preparation: Include the 8 tsp of turmeric powder into your water. Stir constantly while bringing it to boil. Cook it for 8 minutes till it thickens. Then stir again. If the consistency of the paste is too thick you can add little bit of water in it. It should be similar to thick yoghurt.

  1. Now, or in the meantime you can prepare the milk.

Needed Ingredients:

  • ¾ cup milk (coconut, almond, hemp)
  • 2 tablespoons unrefined almond oil
  • honey at your own desire

Preparation: First you bring the milk to a boiling point and then you include the oil. Remove it from the heat and pour it in a cup. Add a tablespoon of the turmeric paste and stir well. If you wish you can sweeten it with honey, preferably organic.

You do not throw the rest of the turmeric paste, you can store in a fridge up to 40 days, and if you want to have enough for the next weeks you can double or triple the dose of turmeric paste when preparing. The paste can be included into tea and milk.

For best results, drink the golden milk for 40 days and repeat this treatment twice a year. It is best to consume it in the morning on an empty stomach, and before bedtime.
