However, the most affordable way is to prepare it by using kefir grains, either water or milk kefir grains.
Coconut Water Kefir Recipe
- 7 cups of fresh coconut water
- 5 tablespoons of water kefir grains
- 1 Ceylon cinnamon stick
Method of preparation:
Pour the coconut water into half a gallon jar, and then include the water kefir grains. Next, cover the jar, but not tightly, and let it stay for 48 hours.
Have in mind that if you leave it longer, you may cause an explosion, as a result of the ongoing fermentation.
Once it is fermented, it will turn lighter in color, and at the end of the culturing process, the kefir grains will rise up to the top. At that point you have to remove them. You can reuse the kefir grains if you want to prepare another batch straight away.
Now, enjoy your drink and significantly improve your overall health!
