Most probably you remember the delicious bread aroma at your grandparent’s house which they always prepared for you. You will agree that there are only few things that smell better than homemade bread, and that the aroma of it is not comparable with the commercial one. Also the nutritional value of the homemade bread is better.
In fact not many people are aware of the fact on how to make homemade bread, and often people think it is very hard to prepare it. We are going to present to you simple recipe that anyone can do it at their home. Here is how to prepare it:
- Flour – 3 cups
- yeast – 1 pack
- Warm water – 1 glass
- Baking powder – ½ teaspoon
- Salt – ½ tablespoon
- Vegetable oil – ½ tablespoon
- Olive oil – a bit
- Flour – 2 cups
You will need to mix the water, yeast, and flour in a big bowl. Make sure that you get fine homogenous mixture and leave it for 15 minutes or until you notice bubbles on the surface. Add the remaining ingredients and knead for 10 minutes. Leave the mixture for 2 hours until it becomes double in size.
Once the dough is ready you will need to cut 8 pieces and start kneading them in shape. Make sure that you cover them with filter paper and leave it for 30 minutes. After ½ an hour you should stretch the dough with rolling pin in order to form 12cm discs in size with 5mm width. On separate side you should heat olive oil in a pan and add the discs in it. Fry them for 2 minutes on each side, but if you want to oven them but the baking pan greased with oil in the bake. Bake for 10 minutes at 240 degrees.
