How To Make Dried Fruits At Home! They Are Cheap, Easy To Make And Healthy!

You could dry fruits with very simple DIY solar dryer. This process will preserve the flavor and nutritional value of the fruits without actually using any harmful techniques. Here is how to do it:

Ingredients:

  1. Styrofoam plates (1m x 0.5m) with density of 30mm – 3
  2. Glue – 3 tubes
  3. Polystyrene nylon screen – 1m
  4. Flat glass – 1 (3mm thick)
  5. Bent nails – 200gr (18mm x 27mm)
  6. Brush – 1
  7. Aluminum foil – 3cm

Instructions:

You will need to use one plate of Styrofoam as a bottom for the box, and cut another in two equally long pieces. Next you should cut the last plate on two smaller sized pieces and join the part to form 94 x 44cm frame. Afterwards you should put the nails in the corners of the frame and make two holes 30 x 4cm on the sides of package. Next you should cut 2 pieces of the nylon and secure them with pins on the box, and cover the gaps you have made previously. The remaining Styrofoam should be cut in 3cm broad pieces and put them in the openings.

Also you should prepare a 90 x 40cm rectangle-shaped wooden frame which will be used for covering the screen and fastening the frame at the bottom. This way you will help you to be able to see inside the dryer. At the end, put one piece of fruit inside and you will very quickly dehydrate the fruit.

Here are some other different methods for drying the fruits

  1. Pineapple

You will need to peel and cut the pineapple into 1cm thick pieces, then cut the pieces on 3-4 equal parts. Place these pieces in a dryer and dehydrate them.

  1. Banana

You should cut the banana in half in order to dehydrate it easier. Also you could cut a banana on slices in order to speed up the process of dehydration.

  1. Apples

First you will need to peel the apple and suffice in 4 parts. Also you could dehydrate the peels and grind them into powder in order to use them for tea.

You will need to peel the mango and cut it on thick slices and put it in the dryer.

  1. Grapes

First you should wash the grapes and remove the seeds. Next, you should put them in 0.5l of water and a bit of lemon juice in order to dehydrate them.
