The Content of Amygdalin

Amygdalin is consisted of four substances, two glucoses, a benzaldehyde and cyanide. Yes, it is a true fact that amygdalin contains cyanide, but it is not toxic as it forms a part of a bigger compound and as a result of that, it does not show any poisonous features, which is not the case if it does not belong to this compound.

How does it treat cancer?

Once the amygdalin enters into the body and reaches to a health cell, for almost 80 minutes is being decomposed by the Rhodanese enzyme into Beznoic acid and Thiocyanate, and these two can protect and heal the healthy cell. Even if higher amounts of amygdalin enter the body, the surplus of Benzoic acid and Thiocyanate is being eliminated via urination in the most natural way.

However, when amygdalin, or B17, reaches to the carcinogenic cell, then it is completely different situation, it cannot be broken down by Rhodanese since carcinogenic cells do not have it in their content, and because of that it is included in a chemical reaction with Beta-Gucosidase, thus resulting in the production of contaminants composed of Hydrogen Cyanide and Benzaldehyde. These toxins only target and kill the cancer cells, while on the other hand the healthy ones remain intact; this process is known as selective toxicity.
