If you are interested in leading healthy life, then you need to introduce healthy foods into your diet like cauliflower and turmeric. These two ingredients can efficiently replace the use of rice and pasta, and a great dish can be made out of them served in every season of the year.

Health Benefits of Consuming Cauliflower

This vegetable is rich in sulforaphane, which is a sulfur substance found to kill cancer cells. Plus, it is high in indole-3-carbinol or I3C, which is an anti-inflammatory nutrient that is supporting cellular cleaning. IC3 aids in the prevention of the oestrogen dominance, thereby making the cauliflower among the top foods in the prevention of breast cancer.

Enhanced Benefits of Cauliflower with Turmeric

Turmeric is a highly beneficial root which shows many health benefits due to the presence of its active ingredient known as curcumin. Scientific analyses were made on turmeric along with phenethyl isothiocyanate (PEITC), a naturally occurring substance present in the following vegetables cabbage, broccoli, watercress, winter cress, turnips, kale, Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, and kohlrabi.
The professor of pharmaceutics at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, Ah-Ng Tony Kong maintains: “The conclusion is that the PEITC and curcumin, no matter if alone or in combination, are showing cancer-preventive characteristics in laboratory mice, and the combination of PEITC and curcumin may be efficient for fighting established prostate cancer.”

As mentioned before turmeric is extremely popular due to its health advantages and according to Dr. William LaValley curcumin displays powerful properties which are beneficial for every kind of cancer.
