You could actually determine your state of health through the stools and urine. Many people consider to be taboo to know whether your body is deficient or afflicted through the urine.

The urine actually tells you a lot about your overall health. It plays important role in eliminating wastes and toxins, but also it helps you get rid of the excess fluids in the body. The urine also contains mineral salts and magnesium, calcium, chlorine, potassium, sodium, etc. Normal and healthy body produces between 1-1.5 liters of urine per day.

In fact, if your urine color varies it could indicate that you are having a problem with your health.

If your urine is cloudy it indicates that a phosphate content is present from kidney stones. Also it could mean that you are having urinary tract infection. On the other hand if you notice there is unpleasant odor you should know that you need to visit your doctor.

This color of urine might seem odd but it is possible. This color could be a result of consumption of certain foods such as asparagus or other medications. Blue urine could be caused by hypercalcemia or increased concentration of calcium in the blood. In case you notice this color of your urine you should pay a visit to your doctor.

  1. Orange

An orange-colored urine could be caused by absorption of foods such as carrots. This color also indicates that you are having a health problem with your liver or bile duct. It is important that once you notice this color you check whether your stool is also orange-colored. In case both your urine and stool are orange-colored you should visit your doctor.

  1. Pink or reddish

If you have been consuming beets, blackberries or rhubarb you might notice that your urine is pink or reddish. If this color is not caused as a result of consumption of any food it shows that you are having serious kidney disease, urinary tract infection, cancerous tumors, or prostate problem. Make sure that you consult with your doctor about this problem.

Having brown urine shows that your body is dehydrated and the body is fighting serious ailments. Also it could be caused by consumption of beans, rhubarb or aloe vera. On the other hand if you are taking medications such as antibiotics, laxatives, or muscle relaxants it could also manifest in brown color. If you notice that this persists you should consult your doctor.

Transparent urine is also a sign of excessive amount of water present in the body. This could lead to serious kidney malfunctions.
