Garlic Soup – 100x Stronger Than Most Antibiotics on the Market

Why garlic soup is so effective?

The reason for its efficacy lies in the content of powerful ingredients like garlic, onion, and thyme. Garlic is very powerful natural antibiotic due to the content of an active ingredient know as allicin thus fighting off many ailments and diseases.

The introduction of natural antibiotics is very important in our menu as due to the overuse of the pharmaceutical antibiotics many germs and bacteria have become antibiotic resistant. Hence, people have turned to the use of natural ingredients that could help them with their health condition.

Winter Norovirus, or otherwise recognized as winter vomiting bug, is manifested by vomiting, diarrhea, fever, stomach cramps, and headache. This virus was particularly spreading during the winter of 2014 and since it is a virus the conventionally used antibiotics were not effective. On the other hand, the garlic soup is very beneficial in this case as garlic can fight off mutated viruses and infections.

According to the study findings of the researchers at the Washington University garlic is one hundred times stronger than the two most commonly used antibiotics, erythromycin and ciprofloxacin.

Required Ingredients:

  • 50 organic garlic cloves /5 garlic bulbs

  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil

  • 2 tablespoons of butter

  • 2 large red onions

  • 1 tablespoon of fresh thyme, chopped

  • 6 cups of chicken broth

  • Herbs like parsley and bay leaves, fresh or dried

  • 3 cups of stale bread, cubed or crushed

  • A cup of sour cream

  • A pinch of salt and pepper


First you need to prepare the garlic bulbs by cleaning them and peeling them from the outer layers. Then, preheat the oven to 350°F. Spread your cloves on an aluminum foil and sprinkle over them some olive oil. Wrap the cloves and put them in the oven to bake for 90 minutes. Leave them aside to cool off.

Meanwhile, over medium heat in a pan melt the butter with the 2 tablespoons of olive oil. In it add the diced onion and sauté it for 10 minutes. After that, include the garlic cloves, the fresh thyme and the herbs. Lower the heat and add the bread cubes. Cook only for additional 5 minutes so that the bread becomes soft. Remove the herbs from the pot and transfer the mixture in a blender. Blend till you get smooth texture. Put your soup back in the pot, add in some sour cream and season it with salt and pepper to taste.
