Making dried fruits at home is not difficult at all and everyone could do it. You could prepare your most favorite dried fruit at the comfort of your home, and the only thing for you to do is to choose whether you want to have ripe or semi-ripe fruit. Once you choose your type of fruit you will need to wash it with cold water and remove all impurities from the fruit. You should also remove the stems and cut it equally in order to dehydrate it as a whole. Also you could remove the skin if you like.

Next, you should soak the fruit in lemon juice and leave it for 10 minutes. Afterwards you should drain it and dry it with a paper towel. Before you put it in your oven you will need to preheat the oven on minimum temperature (this works for apples, peaches, and bananas). In case you choose to dry strawberries or other berries you will need higher temperature.

Afterwards you should cover the tray with parchment paper and put the fruit in single layer. Make sure the fruits don’t touch with each other. In order to avoid the fruit from curling you should cover it with silicone mat.

You will need approximately around 1 ½ hours in order to dry the fruit. After this time you will need to leave the oven door slightly open in order to prevent the fruit from over-baking. Once it gets dry you should take the tray out and leave the fruit to cool down for few hours.
