Plants are part of nature making the planet colourful and nice looking. Many people keep plants inside their homes making their residences better looking and also offering them numerous benefits. Namely, it has been scientifically proven that they are excellent air purifiers due to their ability to produce oxygen, absorb toxins and naturally increase the humidity inside the home.

In addition to this, indoor plants can boost mood, concentration, creativity, and productivity. Their presence in your home can relieve stress and fatigue.

There are many variations of plants, but in this article we shall focus on succulents.

These plants are unique in their appearance and are well recognized for having very thick and engorged parts like their leaves, stems, or roots. This appearance is a result of their great ability to adapt in dry areas. So, if you are not into regular watering, then these plants would be ideal for you.

Types of Succulents

Over 60 plant families contain some type of succulents, and some of them are aloeagave, and cactus family. However, this division does not mean that all of the plants in these family groups are succulents, only that there’s a succulent plant or multiple plants in each family.

Succulent plants are universal in their unusual appearance and some of them are more distinctive than others. The most interesting looking succulent plants are rose, jellyfish succulents, and ‘goth’ succulents. Nonetheless, this is only a small portion of succulent varieties as there are tons of them and if you find them intriguing you can check each one of them.

The Mermaid Tail Succulent/ Crested Senecio Vitalis

We have chosen this one for you due its unusual appearance that overdid all the other variants of succulents. Precisely, the stem of the plant very much resembles a fish’s or whale’s tail, and when looking at this plant, you may think that you are looking at a tail from a mermaid.

If you are a fan of the ocean and its marine life, then this plant will bring the ocean into your home. This succulent is with a subtle green/blue color and it can fit every corner of your home.

What makes it distinctive from the other plants is its ability to grow in width up to 3 to 5 feet and its height can reach up to 2 feet.

These are low maintenance plants, and if you are a person with a busy schedule, then these are the plants for you in your home. You should just place them where there is enough sunlight and water the soil until water runs out of the drainage holes from the bottom.

Have in mind that succulents need more water during seasons of spring and summer which is not the case in the autumn and winter seasons.
