It’s been 6 years since we lost the Dead Poets Society actor, Robin Williams, who died at age of 63. His acting was incredible entertaining us for decades in various roles, but he was also an amazing person helping people in many ways.
He is still remembered by his fans, and his close family is trying to cherish the memory of his existence.
Zak Williams is the eldest son of the late Robin Williams who on May 22, 2019, became a father of a healthy boy, weighing 8 pounds and measuring 20-and-a-half-inches. He and his fiancé Olivia June welcomed their first child, and gave him the name of Robin Williams’ late father,
McLaurin Clement Williams. Naming their boy after Zak’s grandfather is a tribute to Robin Williams and his father. Zak and Olivia have already nicknamed their boy as Mickey.
Mickey is a blessing for the whole family, and Zak’s half-sister Zelda captured a heart-warming photo of her newly born nephew with his parents. She posted the picture on Instagram with the following caption:
“Meet Mclaurin Clement Williams, aka Mickey, aka Dr. Baby! He’s a squishably cute pterodactyl cooing tiny wonder and I love him so much already.”
“Big shoutout to Mickey on being the fastest swimmer, and huge congrats to @heyoliviajune and my big bro @zakpym on creating this little joy (and poop) factory!”
The spirit of Robin Williams continues in his grandchildren and this offers comfort to his family and to the people in the world. He died early, but he was fighting against depression for years, and suffered from an early-stage Parkinson’s. Even in his last moments he tried to battle with his vices by checking himself back into rehab in an attempt to stay sober.
Zak is 36 years old and works as a mental health advocate, but his deepest remorse is not spending more time with his father. In the biography about Robin Williams, titled, Robin, Zak says that he blames himself for not visiting Williams during that time believing that at that time his father must have felt pretty alone. He knows that his father must have needed support, but he was not getting it. His death was a great loss for his family and each one of them still misses him a lot.
Susan Schneider, William’s wife, reflecting on his early departure, stated the following:
“I lost my husband and my best friend, while the world lost one of its most beloved artists and beautiful human beings. I am utterly heartbroken.
It is our hope the focus will not be on Robin’s death, but on the countless moments of joy and laughter he gave to millions.”
