Experiencing a sinus pain can be very annoying as it can cause breathing difficulties and become pretty agonizing during winter season. The use of painkillers is not always successful in soothing the pain; in fact due to the content of chemicals they can make the issue even worse.
Fortunately, there is a natural remedy which can help you with the treatment of the problem without showing any side-effects.
This is a traditional treatment which has been used for ages by the Indians for the treatment of sinusitis and nasal congestion. Thanks to its use you can reduce the amount of mucus in the sinuses and lungs, relieve headaches, and also improve the breathing and decrease the snoring.
However, for successful treatment, you will have to have a nasal cleaner which can be easily found in most pharmacies or simply order it online. It is quite a simple process; all you have to do is to follow the instructions step by step.
Step 1 – Heat up half a liter water or mineral water till it turns lukewarm.
Step 2 – Take 1 teaspoon of sea salt (or if you suffer from high blood pressure use Himalayan sea salt instead).
Step 3 – Take the nasal cleaner and then fill it with warm water, then add the salt and stir everything well. Next, gently put the nozzle into one of your nostrils, tilt your head to the side, open your mouth and breathe through it slowly.
Step 4 – Now, tilt the cleaner for the water to flow in the nostril and come out of the other side.
Step 5 – Make sure to use the whole amount of water, and once you remove the nozzle, slowly blow your nostrils.
Step 6 – Once you have finished with the one nostril, repeat the same process with the other nostril as well.
Step 7 – In the end, blow your nose vigorously several times, but one nostril at a time.
Perform this treatment correctly and avoid mistakes like tilting your head from side to side because the water may drain to your throat, it is not a big issue, but it can be quite unpleasant. If you are doing this simple treatment in the bathroom, do not look at the mirror. Furthermore, do not open your mouth wide open when breathing, but leave it a bit ajar and relax. Make sure to blow the nostrils without capping them, in this way you will prevent too much pressure on the eardrums.
Note: If you are a person with high blood pressure we advise you prior use to consult a doctor.
