French fries are our favorite snack of the day, but they are not for sure the healthiest choice of the day. Well, there is a possibility to swap your French fries with a healthier alternative and still enjoy a crunchy snack during the day. We recommend trying crunchy asparagus fries.
You may think how a vegetable like asparagus can be tasty as there is nothing like the popular French fries. Believe us, they can be as tasty, crispy, and crunchy as the French fries, but these ones are even better as they contain healthy nutrients, fats and protein. Just toss the spears in cheesy nutritional yeast and almond meal. Bake them till they obtain their crisp perfection, and they will be ready for consumption in 20 minutes.
Asparagus is the perfect choice for replacing the potatoes as they are naturally thinly shaped, which reduces the preparation time. This vegetable is considered to be a super food packed with antioxidants that will detox the liver, our most important cleansing blood agent.
In order to enjoy the crispiness that we all love the coating is based on almond meal having a texture of breadcrumbs and at the same time offering healthy fats and fiber. You will also experience the “cheesy” flavor thanks to the use of nutritional yeast, dairy-free.
This snack is prepared really quickly, in just about 17 minutes you can enjoy the crispiness of your asparagus fries enjoying them while watching your favorite movie. If you have a movie night with your friends, then these baked spears would be the perfect choice.
