Teacher Gives Anatomy Lesson in a Full-Body Suit That Maps Out the Human Body in Sharp Detail

Creative teaching is the best method for children to learn certain subjects, and teachers do their best to implement it in their curriculum. However, one teacher outdid herself, Verónica Duque, 43, a third-grade teacher, tried something unusual to explain her class the body parts.

In the past she used cardboard diagrams or textbook pictures to explain human anatomy but her students seem to always misplace the body parts like the liver with the kidney, and while searching the net she found an extraordinary method for her students never to do that again. When she saw the swimsuit with all body parts drawn she immediately knew that would be the perfect method for her students to quickly learn all body parts.

She purchased it, and came to the classroom wearing a full-body suit that mapped out all of the body parts in glaring detail. The children were so much astonished that for sure remembered where is each body part in the human body.

Here it is how Duque explained it to Bored Panda:

I’ve been teaching for 15 years now. I teach natural and social science, art, as well as English and Spanish. I was surfing the internet when an ad of an AliExpress swimsuit popped up. Knowing how hard it is for kids this young to visualize the disposition of internal organs, I thought it was worth it giving it a try.

Her husband Michael was so proud of his wife that he shared the photos with the caption
“Very proud of this volcano of ideas that I am lucky to have as a woman. Today she explained the human body.”

Verónica’s husband lives in the North of Spain and was so overwhelmed with his wife’s creativity that he wanted to share this with the rest of the world and show how inspiring some teachers can be.

You can imagine how quickly the photos went viral on social media and as well as on news stations. Millions followers on Twitter checked the photos thus gathering 69K likes, 14K retweets, and 1.7K comments. Verónica was compared to Slim Goodbody who was a fictional costumed character created and performed by John Burstein, showing on Discovery Education.
This performer wears one-piece suit that displays the various body systems in their precise locations so that children learn them fast where they are exactly.

Verónica as a teacher was always trying to find out some new methods that can help her students to memorize the lessons quickly. She was well aware that children enjoy visual aids more than written text or spoken words, and because of that she has always been implementing creative teaching methods.

She said:

I decided long ago to use disguises for history lessons. I’m also using cardboard crowns for my students to learn grammatical categories such as nouns, adjectives, and verbs. Different grammar kingdoms, so to say.”

Verónica believes that teachers are not only educational figures that have a job to grade students; in fact, they are the pillars of the education conveying the priceless knowledge. Teaching is for sure one of the noblest and honorable professions in the world.

She maintains:

I’d like society to stop considering teachers to be lazy bureaucratic public servants. We’re certainly not.”
