The coronavirus pandemic affected the whole world and almost in every country there is restriction of movement. We need to stay at home so that to prevent the fast spreading of the virus and many people oblige to this rule. However, staying in isolation or lockdown restricts us from many thins and this does not involve only social gatherings.
Due to the lockdown and the enforced measurements of the government people are not allowed to leave their homes after certain period of time, but some of them became creative and used their pets for the performance of certain errands.
One Mexican guy has found a creative solution to satisfy its urge for Cheetos that he did not have in his home during his quarantine. In Mexico, like in most countries the government initiated lockdown measures and left only the food shops and restaurants open, but only for delivery. The schools and non-essential stores are closed until further notice.
Antonio Munoz has a thing for Cheetos and since he did not have them at home, and he couldn’t go to the store across the street to get them himself, he simply sent his dog Chokis.
The Cheetos craving occurred on the third day of his self-isolation, and he really wanted a bag of it, so he found the perfect solution, his Chihuahua pet, Chokis. He sent it to the department store across the street, to get his bag of Cheetos. Antonio left a note on her collar with the instructions, and a $20 bill. In the note was written:
“Hello, Mr. Shopkeeper. Please sell my dog some Cheetos, the orange kind, not the red ones, they’re too hot. She has $20 attached to her collar. WARNING: She will bite if not treated right. Your front neighbor.”
Chokis was a little bit confused in the beginning, but she did the job successfully, and she did it two times more. The order was a little bit changed, specifically the flavor of the potato chips.
He documented the moments of Chokis delivery by capturing a few photos that he later on posted on Facebook. It goes without saying that the post went immediately viral.
Who would think that a Chihuahua dog could be so smart?
But, breeders claim that Chihuahua dogs are very sharp quick learners that easily process information. Plus, they are remarkably loyal, fearless, dignified, and keen on the surroundings.
Patricia Johanson, a Chihuahua breeder, states the following:
“It’s true that Chihuahuas have a reputation among some for being feisty, snappy, difficult to potty train, and loud. That’s because individuals differ significantly from one another within the breed. But they can definitely be trained and there are plenty of Chihuahuas in competitive sports, shows, and in movies, showing that they absolutely can be trained to advanced levels.”
She adds that Chihuahuas in personality are similar to the terriers, and in order for the training to be successful, one should adopt a positive reinforcement method. This method should be based on giving treats which has been proven to be successful.
„The goal is for your dog to repeat behaviors that earn their rewards, like treats or affection. Rewards can include food, special treats, praise, and petting, playing with a favorite toy and so on.”
Many people liked the story and wrote so many comments. Here are some of them:
